“One HIV Test, But Two Results”

August 9, 2010

Catching up on info from the Vienna AIDS Conference last month, and was reminded of this UK Guardian article by Elizabeth Pisani from earlier this year.

Reading speech transcripts from both Bill Clinton and Bill Gates, both lauding treatment expansion, caused me to think of Elizabeth’s points.

Of course, I can’t find the link to exactly what I was reading earlier, but it wasn’t remarkably different from most things either man has said on the issue before; the one exception being that there seemed to be more lip-service paid to politicians who were damaging the global HIV fight by hindering prevention projects among certain marginalized groups. The word “sex worker” did not appear but the implication was unmistakable.
